So far, we’ve seen YouTube as an outlet for people’s home videos, lip-synching fiascos, news reporting, and serialized drama.  The Internet is a crafty little devil, though, and has found a brand new use for the streaming video powerhouse: casual gaming platform.

denuo’s 2009 ces trends

So earlier this month, part of the Denuo crew went out to Vegas for CES 2009. There was certainly a lot to take in. From 3D television and cinema (available in abundance, but mostly gimmicky execution) to the glut of TV screens (getting thinner and greener, but not at the same time), CES was a tech geek’s dream. From a marketer’s perspective however, there were specific trends that will inevitably impact what we do in the near future. The purpose of this post is to call out a few of those major initiatives.

the internets and 24

It was with great anticipation that I set my DVR for a date with Jack, as in Bauer, this past Sunday night.  So excited in fact, that my Facebook status update faked out a few of my friends and family into thinking I actually had a real date–they were very sad to hear it was of the TV fantasy variety only.  But I digress.  Sunday night was the first of a two night 4 hour (really only 98 minutes once you fast forward through commercials) season premier; a considerable amount of time for me to invest in TV viewing but so worth it.

Written Word 2.0

During my last module of the Berlin School, some classmates and I decided it didn’t make an ounce of sense that as a race, humankind had not upgraded the written word. Words will inevitably be written more often in digital environments than in paper environments, and this is undoubtedly already the case for interpersonal communication. Why wouldn’t we capitalize on these advancements and create Written Word 2.0, specifically intended to improve communication clarity?
