Saneel’s send-off in 140 characters

Posted by Mary DeBrunner | April 23, 2010

SR

This week officially marks Saneel’s last week at Denuo. Conveniently, volcanic ash seemed to keep him far away from us (i.e. Vienna) until hours before our rousing farewell party at Vertigo at the Dana Hotel in Chicago. Coincidence? We think not. But we do know that he will miss us…and the feeling is mutual.
Saneel has long been a driving force inside of Denuo. He helped put Play on the map; gave Denuo a voice in the social space via Denuology; and turned Denuo’s team of hybrid talent mongrels into Alchemists. He even tried to make Transformers and Snuggies cool.
So, before he takes off for the Big Apple and settles into his new role at BBH Labs as Director of Media Innovation, we wanted to share our gratitude and support via Saneel’s favorite method of communication: witty tweets.
So below are some short, heartfelt farewells to our creative leader! We wish you well in the land of even more pretentious creative hang-outs, foodie-worthy restaurants and places to buy matching shoes and watches!

We’re very excited about this April Fool’s day, and not just because the long-awaited Meeting Roulette debuted. April 1st, 2010 marks the next stage of the betacup challenge – the betacup contest is officially live.

Everyone and anyone can now submit ideas that rethink the way we consume coffee and help reduce paper cup waste through jovoto.com.

The contest starts today and will be accepting submissions through June 1st, 2010. Ratings will be accepted through June 8th. Experts in design, coffee, and innovation (including some from threadless, Starbucks, and yes even Denuo) will offer professional advice and guidance throughout the contest. There’s also $20,000 up for grabs for the best ideas as determined by the expert jury and the larger community.

We’re excited to partner with such a fantastic cause and pumped to see what the power of mass collaboration and creativity can do. We’ve got even more brewing in the betacup pot (see what I did there?!), so keep an eye out and get cracking on submitting your breakthrough, world-saving ideas.

Reflecteur – Issue 56

Posted by Stephanie Huynh | March 30, 2010

Reflecteur_56

Peruse through Issue #56 of Reflecteur in which we discuss Chat Roulette & the possible appearance of Bend Folds, why stick figures still RULE, how commenting has evolved to more than “First!” and “LOL’s” on a YouTube masterpiece, and why hate mail from 3rd graders is still cuter than scary.  But here at Denuo, our biggest event is the welcoming of our newest Denuologist: Riley Carmen Bee, where she makes her Reflecteur debut.
